Who can join a jam session?
Absolutely anyone who enjoys music! Whether you're a beginner, a hobbyist, or someone picking up your instrument after years — you're welcome here.
Do I need to be “good” at music to join?
Not at all. This is a space to learn by doing. We jam, we explore, and we grow together — no judgment, no competition.
Can professional musicians join too?
Yes, as long as they respect the non-competitive, supportive vibe.
Can children join?
We sometimes run child-friendly jams with parental consent. Child Participation & Safety Policy →
Where are the jams held?
At handpicked jam pads and rehearsal studios across Kolkata. Occasionally, we choose locations based on where participants are from.
How many people attend a session?
Most sessions have 5–6 participants plus a conductor and coordinator. It’s small, intimate, and highly engaging.
How much does participation cost?
₹1000 per participant per session. It covers venue, gear, facilitation, and session materials.
Is there a refund policy?
No. Please pay for a particular jam session once you are absolutely sure that you can attend it.
What should I bring to a session?
Bring your instrument (if you play one), your enthusiasm, and an open mind. We’ll handle the rest.
What happens during a jam session?
Each session includes a guided warm-up, interactive music activities, theme-based jamming, and a free-flowing group jam. It’s structured, but spontaneous!
Is this a class or a performance?
Neither. It’s an experience. You’ll play, listen, learn, and connect — no audience, no pressure.
Can I attend with friends?
Yes! You can attend solo or with a group. Normally, we try to group participants based on experience, comfort, and location.
What if I’m shy or haven’t played in years?
Perfect. We’ve designed this experience especially for folks like you. Many of our jammers started out feeling unsure.
Are sessions recorded?
Yes. Short videos and audio clips may be recorded for learning, feedback or promotional use. By joining, you agree to our media policy. Media Release Policy →
Do you offer memberships or packages?
No. As of now, this is a one-off model to run the project without much complication.
Can I gift a session to someone else?
No. Participants need to register by themselves or their parents (for children) by accepting our terms and policy.
How can I become a conductor or coordinator?
If you believe in our philosophy and want to facilitate jams, we’d love to hear from you! Just reach out at easeyourjam@gmail.com and tell us a bit about your background and interest.
